“ Brand: Primark / Type: Ring „
I discovered these pretty little rings in my primark over the weekend and got myself one as it's summer and the design of the ring is really summery.
The ring has a gold band and on the front has a beautiful little flower which has a golden diamante stud in the middle and coloured overlapping petals. They're also available with silver bands and studs, but i personally found the gold to be slightly more summery as it's a warmer colour. The petals add a 3D effect to the ring and adds a chunky look to it, making it stand out; it's not a very discreet ring. The material the petals are made out of feels a bit like hard plastic.
Obviously the band isn't real gold, or real silver, and although it was a cheap ring at just £1.50, it hasn't left any green on my finger just yet and it seems nice and solid.
There are lots of colours available; cream, pink, orange, beige, red, yellow, blue, black, etc. I have a pale pink one and it's really girly, summery and goes nicely with a floral dress.
I was a bit worried it'd look tacky/chavvy but it really doesn't.
There are 3 sizes available, small medium and largel. I have tiny fingers so got the S and it fits well, not too tight but definetly won't be able to fall off. The large size looks enormous, and even though there are only 3 sizes available the size of the large/mediums/smalls etc sometimes vary slightly, one large may be larger than another large, so i'd reccomend trying the ring on before buying to ensure it's the right size.
Overall these rings aren't anything special but they're a nice little item to wear to brighten up an outfit.
They also have these available in a slightly smaller stud ear ring form (£1 for 1 pair) if anyone's interested :-)
I've had many of these over the years my favourite one was black which my sister lost. I didn't have any problems with it and it lasted me a good few months it would have probaly still be wearing it if that didn't happen.
They are all gold with a flower on them the petals over lap eachother to create a bold effect the shades are always lovely and shiny and the sizes are pretty decent. They have a cute circle in the center which is incrusted with fake diamonds some gold, some silver. They also have slight little patterns over the petals which give them a kinda 3D effect. Not to big, not too small can fit easily in any jewellery box.
Since i couldn't find another black one i thought i'd try the new cream one to go with my long pearl earings also from primark they also didn't last long but, i don't think i can blame the manufacter they got stuck to alot of things because of the style of them Anyway...
I noticed a few days ago the cream is chipping at a really fast pace which doesn't bother me much because it's white underneath and will probaly look better. Usually if i like jewellery when it breaks i'll go out and buy it again but, i won't with this one. But, the gold is lasting long, although i don't advise wearing it when you're involved in water it fits perfect and looks great with anything!
Because i've never expierenced this with primark jewellery before i won't judge the purchase of someone else simply because i'm not sure what made it chip it may have been banged on a wall on a night out.. probaly was.
So i would suggest it to a friend because these rings are so pretty and go with anything day or night, summer or winter. I'm actully abit gutted i didn't noticed the peach one in the picture
The one i'm reviewing now 3/5
Others i've bought 5/5
As you are aware from many of my previous reviews, I am quite a big fan of Primark, and especially their jewellery section. This is because you can find some beautiful pieces for just a smidgen of a price. I do love statement rings, and this Flower Ring did catch my eye last summer and I had to pick it up.
It is only available from Primark stores, and retails at £2.00. This is incredibly cheap for jewellery, and as you can see from the image, it is of a decent quality. When shopping around on the high street, I did find the exact same ring (couldn't spot a single difference) for close to £10.00 at Dorothy Perkins, so I was glad I snapped up the bargain from Primark as soon as I could. I was aware that I might be compromising quality for quantity, but who could resist this little stunner. As stated, I did pick this up last Summer (2010) therefore I am not sure if they are still around, but no doubt they will bring out something similar if not the same this summer.
As you can see it is a little flower with a fake gem in the middle to bling it up a bit. It consists of two layers of petals, and this helps the ring to really stand out. As far as I am aware it was available in quite a range of colours such as black, white and blue. However, i chose to pick up the coral one because last summer coral was a pretty big hit! This ring is absolutely gorgeous when on your finger, and you can team it up with a whole host of outfits to give that wow factor.
Unfortunately, one of the problems I do find with many Primark rings are that they leave me a green ring around my finger from where it has been placed during the day. I am pretty sure this is due to the cheap materials that make the jewellery, and many people also face this problem. It isn't a huge issue, but one that could easily be avoided if buying jewellery a little more expensive.
However, it is a very durable little ring, as I have now had it for almost a year, and still wear it when possible. It is very pretty and I would definitely recommend it to others. I'm willing to compromise the ugly green mark for just a mere £2.00 going out my pocket. A fabulous little bargain, worth a look at! Thanks for reading.
I don't often shop in Primark as I find their sizes vary too much from item to item and a few of their items seem to fall apart after a couple of washes, however, that said, I do like their jewellery and hair accessories. This is mainly due to the fact I find them to be of good quality, long lasting and at a price that beats anywhere else.
This particular flower ring has been sold in Primark for almost a year now, which it actually quite a long time for items in Primark as they normally are only stocked for a couple of months or so. I think this may be due to the fact it is a very popular ring and comes in a wide range of colours which will suit most peoples stykes, however the down side to this is that I find almost everyone I know has this ring in one shade or another, so instead of being a statement piece or an unusual style ring, it is in fact 'common', like most things become in Primark.
The ring cost me £2.50, which is a great price as it is of a larger size, so could be priced around £8/9 in the likes of Dorothy Perkins / Accessorize.
The ring comes in 3 sizes, them being Small, Medium and Large. I wear this ring either on my middle or index finger and find that the Medium size fits fine and would say I have quite average size fingers, though if I wanted it on my ring finger than it would be more suited to a size small.
As I have said, this ring also comes in a vast range of colours, from the coral pink and white shoes, to black, duck egg blue, hot pink and many more. The colour of the metal of the ring is gold in colour.
The ring itself has 2 rows of petals, the bottom one being slightly larger than the top and in the middle has this kind of round blob, which is gold in colour which has little daimonte style things in it which makes it look a bit more glam. The style is quite plain and simplistic, however due to the size it makes it a bit more of a statement piece, though, I think this is also due to the style in which the petals are cut. They have a prism effect to them which makes them seem shinier and catches the light more. I really like this as it makes it look a bit more expensive and is different to the ordinary flat, matte look that most rings have.
I have had this ring for over 6 months now and I am very happy with it. It has not become out of shape and neither have any of the petals snapped off, which I was half expecting them to do. The metal has not become a funny colour and it has never turned my finger green.
I would definitley reccomend this ring, however, if you are looking for something a bit more unique that no-one else has then I'd look elsewhere!
Whenever I am in need of some new 'costume' jewellery Primark is always my first stop. I can never manage to find anything decent in their clothing sections but I never fail when it comes to shopping for rings and necklaces. Anyway this 'Primark Flower Ring' was one of the first rings I ever bought from Primark because Id seen it on a friend and fell in love with it straight away I knew I had to own it. Ive had this for a good year (if not longer) now and I wear it all the time, Ive even gone back since and bought it in other colours because I love it so much and Im glad I can now share this review with you - this ring is very popular and I plan to make it even more so.
Price: No more than £2
Other Info: This ring comes in Cream (my colour), Light Pink, Red & Black - thats all the shades Ive personally seen this ring in but Im sure there must be more so there is a very wide selection which I think will be built on in the future. This ring comes in Small, Medium & Large sizes so everyone will be able to find one to fit their fingers - I would normally need an M but in this case a Small fits onto my fingers with ease and no discomfort so try it on in the shop before you buy to be certain.
So looks wise this looks pretty much exactly the same as in the image. The 'petals' on my ring are a pearly white shade and are rounded in the middle and the outer petals are in the shape of hearts - it actually does look quite like a proper flower. The part in the middle (Im terrible at remembering the proper names for flower parts!) is studded with little faux gems which are transparent in colour and I think a cute added touch. Around the back is the gold band and for extra support the back of the flower is also lined with gold metal to ensure it doesnt break easily. The design in my opinion is simply gorgeous - its actually a pretty simple ring but its feminine and cute nonetheless.
Even though this ring is probably aimed more for teens/young adults I dont think theres an age group that would like the design or that wouldnt suit it so this ring really is one for women of all ages. It fits on all of my fingers with ease - without me having to force it on or it leaving grooves on my hand when Ive taken it off so it is a very comfy ring to wear. Its a medium size ring (Id say) so I dont think it would be too big for anyone to wear or make anyone feel as if it was OTT its about an average size and it doesnt feel to weighty.
The ring I own as I mentioned is a cream colour so its a pretty neutral shade meaning it matches with most colours/patterns/styles that I attempt to match it with which makes it a very versatile ring - for less than £2 you can wear it all the time which is definitely worth the money in my opinion. Some might say this ring is only suitable for wearing in Spring/Summer months but I wouldnt say that at all - its Winter now and Im actually wearing this ring out today so its suitable for all ages and times of year! Ive owned this ring for Id guess about a year now and I can see literally no signs or wear at all so it must be pretty high quality - something which I never thought Id say about a Primark piece!
I cannot recommend this highly enough in any shade because its a stunning ring - looks wise, its comfy to wear and matches everything in my wardrobe. I think this ring is one for everyone. Thanks for reading.
