The first pair of earrings I bought from Swarovski were the Angelic studs (which I have also reviewed). I like to celebrate success with a pair of Swarovski's and the first ones were to celebrate passing some accountancy exams.

I then went on to get a new (and much better paid!) job down in London and wanted a pair of smart studs to wear daily for work so I headed to Swarovski again.

I went for these studs as they are very plain and don't draw too much attention but are nicer than cheaper studs so are perfect for me for work. They are just the right size to not be garish but still be nice and sparkly as I don't like my studs too tiny. They measure about 6mm across. The stone is held in by 3 small metal claws which i find gives a nicer shape than ones with 4 claws as it doesn't make them appear square. The main difference between these and a cheap pair of maybe cubic zirconia studs is the sparkle, of course they are all sparkly but the Swarovski stones have a different level of sparkle which really catches the light and looks more expensive. Without actually breaking the bank for diamond studs, Swarovski is the next best thing.

I have had the studs for about 9-10 months now and have been wearing them daily and they have definitely retained their sparkle and not broken or got scratched at all. However, if they were to get broken or scratched within the first 12 months, Swarovski will simply replace them which is great for anyone who's a bit careless with their jewellery!

These plain studs cost around £40.00 which is more than the £20.00 you would pay for cubic zirconia but they look so much nicer, sparklier and more expensive, you can really tell the difference in quality.
