      A beautiful red cross charm

      *Introduction*

For Christmas, one of the gifts that my boyfriend gave me was a Thomas Sabo Black Obsidian and Silver Bracelet as well as three charms to go with this. For my birthday we went shopping and I bought another of the Thomas Sabo bracelets and I decided to add to my collection of charms with some birthday money that I received and went for the Thomas Sabo Charm Club - Cross. I am not religious but I have always been a fan of the cross design and this particular charm caught my eye.

      *About the Product*

Thomas Sabo Charm Club - Cross is a small drop pendant with synthetic garnets in the design of a cross, set in Sterling Silver. It is 1.2cm in size.

      *Price and Availability*

Thomas Sabo Charm Club - Cross can be purchased online at www.thomassabo.com. You can also find it in a number of high street jewellers. SWAG is a jeweller that I know for certain sells the Thomas Sabo collection and you can find these stores in Watford as well as Bluewater if you live near to these shopping centres. I also noticed whilst in my local town at the week that the jeweller has started to stock a limited amount of the range however when I asked they did inform me that they can order in any charm requested.

You can buy this charm for £29.95. I believe this is a reasonable price for what is a very elegant charm although I can see that the quantity does sound quite a lot of money for what is essentially a 1.2cm charm. When it is worn as much is mine is, you will soon see that it is money well spent.

      *My Opinion*

The packaging: I love the packaging that Thomas Sabo products come in. It really is fantastic. I was excited the first time I was given something in this packaging and the feeling doesn't go away. It has something pretty special about it. Almost as good as the products themselves! The packaging for charms is very sweet as the little boxes are so small. First you have a very small cardboard container which is circular in shape. The container is very small and the base of this is white and black stripes. The lid sits on top and is white with Thomas Sabo printed on the top. When you take off the lid, you will find a silky, white draw string pouch. Inside this is a small sealable plastic bag which holds the charm.

The charm: The cross charm is a group of 6 small synthetic garnets, set in the shape of a cross in a sterling silver setting. The length of the charm, including the clasp, is 1.2cm in length so this charm is definitely a case of good things come in small packages. The 6 synthetic garnet stones are fairly small in size but somehow, perhaps due to the cut, get a lot of glisten and shine reflected from them. And I think that it looks perfect when alone or alongside my additional charms.

So as to fasten the charm to the loop on the bracelet, the Thomas Sabo charms have a clasp like those found on necklaces when joined the two parts together. This is a fair sized clasp but not so big that it looks too big or odd. It also makes it very user friendly and not in the slightest fiddly. I think that the clasp is a perfect size to allow the charm to hang a nice distance from the bracelet.

Longevity of the product: I was a little concerned that this charm wouldn't last long with me as I am rather clumsy and delicate things and I don't tend to mix but I have had it for 2 months now and it is still going strong. All of the stones are still firmly secured in the sterling silver setting. With this charm, I worried a little that I would lose one of the 6 small stones however I have found they are clasped pretty tightly between the silver claws and can handle a fair amount of knocking although not so much catching. If you take care of the charm then I see no reason as to why it would not stay in good condition for a very long time with a little polish every now and then.

      *Would I Recommend This Product?*

I would wholeheartedly recommend Thomas Sabo Charm Club - Cross as it is, in my opinion, a very beautiful and subtle piece. It is pretty and the red stones are simply stunning. If you are buying a charm for somebody whose favourite colour is red, then this charm would be an excellent choice.

      *Overall*

Thomas Sabo Charm Club - Red Pendant is a beautiful charm that sits nicely with my Thomas Sabo Black Obsidian and Silver Bracelet. I think the red stoned charm complements the bracelet fantastically and it looks great whether worn alone or with additional charms. I think that when I purchased this charm I showed that I have just as good an eye for a charm as my boyfriend.
