“ Manufacturer: Thomas Sabo / Type: Charm „
I had always dreamed of building up my own Thomas Sabo charm bracelet, but I knew it would realistically never happen with the price it would cost, and the fact that I have hardly any income to spend on treats like this due to being a student. I was so lucky for my birthday to have received a gorgeous charm bracelet with a few charms added on from my parents. One of these charms was the Letter L 'Glitter' from Thomas Sabo.
If you are unaware of Thomas Sabo, it is a jewellery brand which offers a wide and unique selection of products, many of which are absolutely gorgeous. They are probably most well known for their lovely charm bracelets and I had always wanted one. I do love Pandora bracelets too, but as I am clumsy, I would always end up losing the beads, where Thomas Sabo charms hook on with the clasp as you can see in the image.
With the amount of money that you have to invest into a bracelet such as this, it is worthwhile designing it to make it personal and unique to you, and that is why I asked for the Letter 'L' charm as a gift from my parents, as it would have a meaning behind it. There is a plain letter L available which is not glittery, but this really stood out to me and I feel that it is perfect for my style. Obviously it is available in every other letter of the alphabet, not just L.
The charm itself retails at £39.95 which is a little hefty, but so are all the prices from this brand. If you find it much cheaper anywhere, there is a good chance that it is a fake so do try to buy from retailers listed on the website or direct from Thomas Sabo. Obviously, I was extremely lucky to receive this as a gift, as £39.95 seems like a lot of money to spend on just a charm, but it is very personal to me so I am thankful for this. The plain letter L is around the £20.00 mark if you are interested in that instead. But does the price justify the quality?
I have to say that it completely justifies it. This pendant is made of 925 sterling silver, with white channel set zirconia stones. It is only a tiny 1.3cm in size, however this about standard for a charm. If you buy directly from Thomas Sabo, you get the charm in a gorgeous little drawstring bag, and it is such an exciting experience to open. When I got this out it was just beautiful. The stones really shine in the light and twinkle with a lovely effect. The charm really does stand out when attached on to the bracelet, and due to the stones makes it quite noticeable, even for just a silver charm.
The quality of this charm is unbelievable. I have had mine for a year or so now, and I wear it practically every day. It has gone through a lot of bashing around, particularly on desks at work, and despite this it still remains in tip top condition and has not scratched one little bit which is fantastic. Even one year on, it still looks brand new which goes to show that a better investment does give you a better quality.
Overall, this is a wonderful little charm which is personal as it represents your name. I received it as a gift, and I think that it would be a lovely gift to buy others. I received it on a special occasion birthday so my parents were happy to spoil me a little more, and I think it would be lovely to buy that special someone, as well as being a perfect gift for birthdays as well. I know the huge price tag would put a lot of people off, but growing your own charm bracelet is just wonderful, and it is also a very meaningful gift. Thoroughly recommend this to all and will be giving it five stars. Thank you for reading.
