Advantages: makes fresh and lovely juice from vegetables, berries and fruits! Easy to use, low cost
Disadvantages: The cleaning, my god...
My Cookworks Signature Whole Fruit is a product I have come to end up rather addicted to, simply because making your own delicious, healthy juice is both very fun and easy to do, while tasting much better and naturally being a lot better for you than those you buy in the store... I bought my Cookworks machine for 25.99, but I`ve seen it costing even less at argos and amazon at times, so it really is a great product for a low price!
So far, I`ve made juice from vegetables and fruits such as apples, oranges, carrots, pears, bananas, kiwis, strawberries and tomatoes, and I am very pleased with the refreshing, "real" taste that this machine provides your juice with, I really enjoy the idea of drinking juice without having to consider how much sugar or other added stuff I end up giving to my system, as this is fresh juice, nothing more, nothing less! Using the machine is very easy and logic, there`s two settings on the machine, one for soft fruits and one for fruits with a harder texture... What I like to do with the leftover pulp, is adding it to cakes, muffins and homemade bread etc.., as this adds a very nice flavor to whatever I`m baking! When making your juice, be clear on the fact that you shouldn`t use it for too long at a time, as there`s the danger of the machine getting too warm, so long intervals between use is recommended! If you are wanting a juice that is one hundred percent smooth, this machine is likely to irritate you a bit, as there will always be a fragment of pulp in the juice, not much, but still noticable... When making the use, the pulp goes into a large tray and the juice itself into a container that holds 1 litre, meaning that you can make a lot of juice in one go...
Now, there is one disadvantage that must be mentioned; this machine is a hazzle to clean, it really has managed to annoy me quite a bit! I wash the entire machine by hand, and it is time consuming when washing thoroughly and making sure the machine is completely clean, which logically is very important! The thing is, the pulp tray manages not to collect a hundred percent of the pulp, which leaves you to try and clean away the remaining pulp from the system of the machine, and this will take some time and patience!
Still, I find this machine a great addition to my kitchen, it makes delicious and fresh juice from all types of berries, vegetables and fruits, in spite of a pain to clean very easy to use! The size of it is anything but minimalistic, so if you`re kitchen counter isn`t all that big, this will probably vacant your entire counter! But for those enjoying a glass of fresh juice in the morning, this product is superb!
