Advantages: Brilliant juicer

Disadvantages: Difficult to clean

I was always told that this was the best juicer money can buy: and it certainly gets masses of juice out of whatever you put into it. The greatest advantage is that you don't have to chop the fruit up; apples, pears etc can go in whole, which definitely saves time. However, the disadvantage is that it is a DEVIL to clean. I've heard that although parts can go in the dishwasher, they can be damaged, so I wash by hand: which has to be done IMMEDIATELY, else it stains or dries on more solidly than superglue. Despite my best efforts, my machine looks dirty and stained. I have been using mine for 4 years, on most days, and it still working reliably and efficiently, with no dulling of the juicing foil, but that's because I havent allowed bits of pulp to dry onto it. I line the waste collector with a bg so that all I have to do is lift that out and empty into the compost bin. I love it for the juice, I hate it for the cleaning!

Summary: Think about whether you are going to put up with having to clean it by hand.
