Advantages: Produces healthy yummy juice with ease

Disadvantages: Bulky to store and takes up valuable worktop space

I bought this juicer a few years ago now from a TV shopping channel after much press-ganging from the kids and promises of undertaking a much healthier diet - how could any self-respecting mother refuse!
Anyway at the time this cost me in the region of £100! eeek did I really pay THAT much for a juicer?!! However, I must say that as a family we juiced EVERYTHING, and for a good few months were the healthiest family on the street.......fast forward 18 months or so and I have to admit that the juicer is currently wedged between the (ahem) breadmaker and slow-cooker at the back of the cupboard! Get the picture? yes, I am a consumers dream....however, I must say that that during the glory days of juicing it was GREAT! We managed to make the most delicious concoctions out of "past their best" fruit and veggies which I would have normally chucked out. The yeuchy factor was the cleaning of the machine...so much sloppy pulp however I do believe that if I were extra money saving (and had the inclination) this could have been used fantastically in soups, cakes etc - at least that's what was said in the recipe booklet that arrived with the machine.
I was a bit upset when I put the bits and pieces in the dishwasher which nicely washed off the silver trim of the top component but this doesn't get away from the fact that this juicer was fab, easy to use, not noisy at all and produced some pretty stonking healthy liquid which although could look bleurghh would taste WONDERFUL.
Okay, so I haven't used my Jack LaLane Super Juicer for a while, but after writing this review guess what I'm doing this afternoon? Now, where are those rotting carrots!!
