Advantages: easy to use, effective, hardwearing

I didnt plan on getting a juicer but my partner convinced me that it was a good idea and the way forward on the health front. I in the end agreed but didnt expect great things. My first thought was that it was expensive compared to others on the market but nevertheless it looked good in the kitchen. It is heavy and solid so feels like it will last a long time.
It works using a centrifuge style drum which rotates at speed and contains small holes with sharp edges which pulps and juices whatever you put into it. It is very easy to use, plug in, switch on and juice away! Cleaning is also easy..run some water through to clean the spout, while the lid and the internal part of the juicer can be put in the dishwasher. I have found that sometimes the juicer part needs scrubbing before washing in order to remove bits of skin etc from the holes.
The beauty of this juicer is that you can put fruit and vegetables in whole, skin and all as this is removed and held in the juicer part leaving just pure juice in your glass....no bits!
I must admit the initial everyday use when it was first purchased did wane to once a week and then once a month, but I did find it wonderful for making fruity alcoholic cocktails!

The major downside was my fruit and veg bill increased considerably as to make one glass of juice requires a load of fruit and it did end up stuck in a cupboard for long periods of time.

The upside is it looks good and it certainly lasts...Ive had ours 8 years and have had no problems with it, and its certainly handy for cocktail parties!

Summary: Scores well in all areas, expensive but the good points make it a worthwhile purchase
