This was my first juicer and I bought it because the review I read said it was simple to use and good for beginners.

You have to chop up your fruit/vegetables first - unless it is something small like grapes, as the chute is tall and thin. There are two speed levels at which you can juice. The first speed is for softer fruits like plums and the second is for harder products like carrot. It juices them really quickly although you are advised to push down on the funnel shoot slowly. The machine is quite noisy but is so quick to use that it doesn't really matter that much. It vibrates quite a lot too, so needs to have a strong solid surface.

The pulp is taken to a seperate compartment. The pulp has a tendancy to clog inside the machine, rather than reach its supposed destination. When this happens some juice leaks down through the machine and it gets into a real mess. I would say this happens with about half the pulp you produce. It is possible to re-use some of the pulp you end up with, depending on the fruit. Occaisonally the funnel does not totally press the fruit into the grater section so you can be left with unjuiced chunks left in the funnel. The juicer comes with its own jug which has a divider down the middle and which seperates the froth from the pure juice if you want - I just drink the froth too, though, as its full of vitamins!

The juicer is easy enough to clean. You will need a little brush for grating section, which gets really clogged up and one is not provided - I bought a toothbrush which does the job fine. Otherwise, every other part simply requires a rinse as it is all smooth plastic. It is a quite big machine but used often in my house! I got mine from Amazon for £36.00 which is quite cheap for a juicer.
