**For Fresh Juice Lovers!**
Lob an apple in and away you go! Juice in an instant is what I wanted and that's what the Moulinex machine pro can do! If you love your fresh juices, and want to experiment with your own, the Moulinex is a good buy. Making your own fruit juices with this machine definitely helps aids healthy eating and provides you with lots of vitamins that you need. I must point out though; you need to use an awful lot of fruit to produce plentiful juice to drink. Is it worth it?
**Expensive - Is it worth it? **
I don't agree that the price tag of £80 plus is worth it to be honest. I think that the price I paid of £30 second hand on EBay, is a much better price. I guess for those that are able to afford the constant bags of fruit to make juices daily, would get their money's worth, but I personally find that with 5 of us liking juices, it costs a lot of money to make juice on a daily basis and its far cheaper to buy readymade juices. Overall I am happy with the price that I have paid because I only get a certain amount of usage out of it. It's a nice item to have but if you aren't going to use it daily, I'd really shop around and get one for a much cheaper price.
**Easy to Use**
Basically it's just a case of feeding fruit (or Veg) into the tube of the machine. You can chop the fruit if you wish, but you really don't need to. I find it slightly less noisy if chop things in half first, but it's not particularly noisy anyway so I don't always bother. The idea of it anyway is that it can juice whole fruit, so why add to the time by chopping it up! The tube that you drop the fruit into is wide and sturdy and the machine itself is of a brushed steel look with a see through lid. Rubber feet on the base of the machine ensure it's safe and secure and another good thing is the feet make sure the kitchen work top is unscathed.
The juicer is quite large so takes up a fair amount of space on the kitchen worth top. Be aware that it's heavy as well. I almost dropped mine when moving it recently which would probably have been disastrous, so be careful!
The Moulinex pro boasts a 3 litre capacity which I've noted from having a nose at others, is one of the largest. 3 litres of juice is more than enough for the family, but like previously mentioned, quite a lot of fruit is used to produce that amount. It can get a bit expensive to use.
The transformation from whole fruit to juice is very quick. The machine is very sturdy and well built and remarkably quiet considering the job it does. It's fast and very efficient and definitely has a 'Wow' factor about it.
With lots of removable parts, the machine is very easy to clean. A cleaning brush is included with the juice which helps with the more difficult areas to clean. Although I don't have a working dish washer at the moment, it's also handy to know the parts are dishwasher safe.
I tend to use my juicer for apple juice for my toddler when we've run out of readymade juice. A bag of apples and we're away! I also make juices if we have visitors in the summer as your own juice makes for a real refreshing drink sat on the patio in the sun.
It's all a bit of a mess to clean and it's really not as easy and as quick as opening the fridge and pouring readymade juice into a glass. We also have to buy a lot of bags of fruit which can be costly.
Personally I don't think it's worth paying £80 plus for, but if you can get a bargain price or one for second hand it's a nice item to have and the juices are lovely.
I was given this juicer by a family member 6 months ago, because they had just upgraded. Not usually a fan of smoothies and pureed fruits, but I thought I'd give it a go and here is my review:
The juicer is awesome for the range of products it can cope with. I had been warned that apples often need cutting up before placing in the juicer, but whole apples are no problem! This is a 3 litre juicer, so it is capable of holding a LOT. Definitely one of the benefits of using this juicer! However, because of this, the mechanics can get pretty noisy, and if you live in a quiet household it's probably best not to use it whilst everyone is still asleep! Furthermore, from my own experience and having read other people's reviews, there is a definite problem with movement whilst it is in action. In the past I have had to hold it down - especially when it is 'juicing' hard vegetables like carrots. The juices get made pretty quickly which is a real bonus but the amount of juice you get from the mass of fruit and veg you put in appears quite poor.
One massive downfall is the mess it creates if you are not extremely careful. There is nothing provided to catch the juice either (if the previous owner simply forgot to include this I'm not sure, but the instructions do not seem to mention one!)
If you live in a small place and you're looking for a small juicer, I highly recommend you look for something else because this juicer is HUGE. It is quite a heavy product too so its best to store it in a low-cupboard to prevent any injuries!
I expected the cleaning to be more difficult than it was. The different parts can be disassembled fairly easily and cleaned with little hassle. The juicer even comes with its own brush to make things so much quicker! It is dishwasher safe too which is a real bonus!
As I said at the beginning of my review, I was given this product in used condition, so I'm not actually aware of the price it was when bought in new condition. The juicer seems to be quite hard to purchase nowadays because it's an old model. However, a quick google on the product tells me the cheapest place you can pick it up at is:
£58.98 (including p&p) - Ebay
£69.99 - Amazon
(Prices correct on 02.02.11)
I would suggest the following recipe... it's a classic, but it's really refreshing and kick starts your morning!
4 x bananas
20 x strawberries
(Optional extra - added after the juicing - 1tbs honey)
I would give this blender a 3/5. It has its bonus' and its downfalls, but it does the job it is intended to do. I can fully understand why the previous owner would want to upgrade but for me especially, it is a simple and effective juicer.
I dithered a fair bit before buying this juicer, not because of concerns about the actual juicer from Moulinex itself but rather whether I would get enough use out of it to justify the £80 price tag or would it be one of those products that gathers dust in a kitchen cupboard. Well I have to say that throughout the summer it got an awful lot of use and I do not see myself slowing down any time soon as it has almost become habit forming to make our juice fresh, no different to switching on the coffee machine.
One of the good things about this machine is that it has a large capacity, 3 litres, and also can handle whole fruit and veg rather than you having to do lots of chopping and preperation before using it. It was a leap of face to throw some whole pears in but this machine just crushed them up and produced the juice in no time at all. What also surprised me when I first used it is that it is a lot quieter than I expected it to be, I was expecting a very loud wirring noise but that is not the case with this device.
It is well designed with a wide tube at the top to drop the fruit down and it has a brushed steel look with a clear plastic top. On the base there are rubber feet to keep the whole thing secure and it does not move about on your work top or mark it.
Cleaning is pretty easy as well, it comes with a brush to get access to the hard to reach patches and all of the removable oparts can go into the dishwasher, the only real downside is that there are a lot of removable parts so you do have to put it all back together again after cleaning.
We now consume a lot more juice than we ever used to and also it can be used to make smoothies as well, it is fast working and can certainly cope with a wide range of fruits and vegetables which is great as I can also prepare carrot juice as well as the traditional fruit juices.
This is a very good juicer and one that justifies the rather high price tag.
At home both my wife and I drink a lot of fresh juice, her more than me but between us we get through a lot so we decided to buy a juicer and have a go at creating some new flavours for ourselves and make sure we were getting the freshest juice possible into the bargain.
Now there were many juicers to choose from and some were a lot cheaper than the Moulinex Juice Machine Pro Juicer but after careful consideration and having read a few reviews on it we were sure it was the one for us and having used it for four months now I am sure we made the right decision and I will now review it myself to help others.
This juicer is a very powerful one and it will easily make light work of whole fruits unlike some machines that require you to chop the fruit up first, it claims to be able to take any fruit or vegetable and juice them effectively and from what I can see it does exactly that.
It is a very well built machine and feels almost unbreakable whereas some of the machines we looked at were very brittle and probably would not have lasted too long.
It is easy to use and the tube you feed the fruit into is robust and large enough to make it an easy and fast task and the machine itself takes no time at all to juice the fruit once in so you go from whole fruits to juice in a very short time indeed.
This juicer has a three litre capacity which is larger than most and will probably be enough juice for most at any one time, it certainly is for us and the jug part of it is easy to remove and the spout is wel designed making pouring the juice very easy also.
The cleaning of these machines was the one thing that we read a lot about before buying one and it seems like that the cleaning of a lot of juicers can be a bit tricky but this one I have to say is no trouble at all.
The machine breaks down into many removable parts, all of which are dish-washer safe or can be easily washed by hand in the sink and there is a special cleaning brush included when you buy this to help you get the rest of the machine spotless and ready for it`s next use.
We paid just over £80 for this juicer and although we could have had a juicer for half that price we are sure that our £80 was spent wisely and we are delighted with our purchase and would be more than happy to recommend it to others.
I consider myself very lucky to have received the Moulinex Juice Machine Pro a couple of months ago, as there`s no chance I would`ve spent almost 85.99 on a Juice Machine, at least without knowing it to be so amazing as it in fact is! The cost could scare most, but on the other side, this is one of the most amazing kitchen products I have ever owned, and recommending it comes easy, all though the cost of it might be considered a major disadvantage...
The biggest advantage for me when it comes to this juice machine from Moulinex, is that it offers you an easy and most delicious way of becoming more healthy, as the juices you are to make with this machine not only tastes amazing, they`re filled with important vitamines and nutrition, and they will boost your energy with more effeciency and long lasting effect than a macchiato ever will be capable of! Because of its sturdy and solid nature, you can make juice with all types of vegetables, berries and fruits, no matter what you put in it, it comes out juicy and delicious! With a capacity of three liters, you have plenty of room for making a lot of juice, meaning that you can also use this machine for making lovely juice drinks for a big group of friends and family, and I can guarantee you that they also will love the juice coming from this miracle machine! Not did I know that home made apple juice could taste so amazingly good! Having rubber feet underneath, this machine will not slip and slide all over your kitchen counter, it remains in its spot! Another very positive thing to mention, is that cleaning this machine is very easy and offers no struggle at all! Most of the parts can be detached and washed in a dishwasher, and as they are of sturdy nature, I`m not concerned that they will break or be damaged in the dishwasher... Also, the product comes with a cleaning brush, and I do recommend using it, because keeping this device clean is very important!
What sort of puzzles me about this machine, is the fact that it works very fast and silently at the same time... I`ve seen products such as these before, and most of them have made so much noise that just that becomes very off putting... The juice machine from Moulinex works very fast and efficient, even if you load it up with fruit, you will have juice ready in no time! It`s also very easy to put the fruit into the feeding tube, so this is a product that you will learn how to use in no time!
This is one of the best gifts I have ever received, and I really do recommend you adding the Moulinex juice machine to your kitchen appliances!
This review is for the Moulinex Juice Machine Pro Juicer, which is capable of juicing whole fruit and has a container which holds 3 litres.
As its name suggests, this machine is a powerful juicer, and it can take whole fruits such as apples, pears, oranges and so on, very easily. It notes that it can take any fruit or vegetable whether soft or hard and juices them effectively, and this was also my experience, there is very little that it can't cope with!
The tube which you feed the food into is well designed, and the whole machine is very fast. Given how easy it is to put fruit in, if you wanted to use the full capacity, it wouldn't take long to feed your oranges, or whatever you choose, into the machine. The speed is definitely therefore a strong advantage. Another advantage with the machine for me is that it is relatively quiet, as I've heard some similar items make quite loud and worrying noises at times!
The machine has a capacity of three litres, which was more than enough juice for me, and the container is easily removeable so that you can easly pour into containers what you don't need immediately. I also found the machine to be secure and stables, with its rubber feet staying firm, so that I didn't have to chase the juicer around the worktop.
The machine is relatively easy to clean as there are lots of removeable parts, and all of these removeable parts can be put in the dish-washer, which is really convenient. In the packaging, a cleaning brush is also provided to help with the slightly more difficult areas, but I found the whole product to be well thought through.
Another advantage about having a relatively powerful piece of equipment like this is that it does encourage you to consider eating and drinking much more healthy alternatives. Making products like smoothies is much easier when you have a machine such as this, as is making your own orange juice and other healthy alternatives. So, this purchase could definitely be good for your health!
The juicer is currently available on Amazon for 84.99 pounds including delivery, but refurbished models at the time of writing can be found on eBay for under fifty pounds, so it's definitely worth shopping around. The juicer's retail price appears to be 99.99 pounds, although this is quoted as being slightly lower by some sites.
Overall, this is an effective machine, which performs its task well. It can cope with nearly any fruit or vegetable, and although there are cheaper models on the market, this is definitely a sturdy piece of equipment, and if you can find one at a reasonable price, I'd definitely recommend this product.
As I am trying to improve my diet and health I decided to buy a juicer which will help me to get those important vitamins. I thought by getting this product it would add a novalty to it by using the juicer. I payed £39.99 for this product which I think is a fair price as ive used it alot and its performed its jobs well. Based on looks the product looks good it comes in silver with a clear plastic top which looks modern and is a nice addition to anyones kitchen appliances. The juicer is very powerful and turns fruit to juice in no time. The juicer makes no mess either so theres no tidying up to do after. The juicer has 2 speeds and a total power is 600w which is all sufficient for doing the job. I use this product most days so its really helped with my diet and health. I think its a nice product and its fun to experiment with drinks and its the perfect way to start off a day by drinking a nice tall glass of orange juice. The product couldn't really be easier to use just a simple two speed control button. overall very pleased with the juicer.
I have been using a juicer for years now and on moving to a house of my own when I moved for university I received a Moulinex Juice Machine Pro as a moving gift. I was impressed by the ease of set-up and use. The speed of the juicer is much greater than the others I have used, though they were older models which have not been upgraded in a while (the most recent of which I believe was a Kenmore). The machine can produce juice with bits or without which came in great use when my fussy 3 year old niece came to visit. A great juicer to suit the tastes of all the family and those on a tight schedule as it produces juice very quickly. Somewhat harder to clean than previous juicers I have used though can be managed with a small brush and gets easier with practice. The difficulty to clean seems to increase with the smoother juice settings. Low price for a quality machine.
I have owned this juicer for about 3 weeks now and I have to say that it has really lent a helping hand in the kithen department. It has a sleek and modern design and will go with any style kitchen. It is extremely easy to use thanks to the many features eg. the unique feed tube. The speed in which the juice is juiced is just staggering, roughly three times quicker than my previous one (a tobisha), this saves valuable time when in a rush . Although it has given me a bit of trouble as it is quite hard to clean and has many small places which are hard to reach an require a thin brush. Now to the juice, this machine has the option to switch from bits to no bits but still produces juice to your desired thickness.
This juicer really is a work of art and I really recommend buying it... could it be the juicer from the future?!
