Advantages: Easy to use and Easy to clean
Disadvantages: Quite large
I was given the Philips HR1861 juicer as a Christmas present in 2006. I'd been after one for ages and was well chuffed to have finally got one.
This juicer has two different speed settings, one for soft fruit and vegetables (like oranges and strawberries), and another for harder fruits such as apples. The pulp comes out of the juicer damp (but not wet), and the juice comes out tasting delicious.
There is no need to chop up your fruit before placing in the juicer as the chute is plenty big enough for apples/oranges etc.....but if you are going to be juicing pineapples/grapefruits etc, these may need cutting in half. Also....if you're juicing citrus fruits remember to peel them, because although the juicer can handle the peels, it will taste horrible and waxy.
This juicer is so easy to clean too. It all comes apart very easily. You can wash each part separately, and I believe they are also dishwasher friendly. It all fits back together again very easily with no fuss. Other juicers I have had didn't come apart completely and you spent ages trying to squeeze a dishcloth into a little gap to clean it. This is really easy.
Overall, this is a wonderful product, and I would recommend it to anyone.
Summary: Excellent Juicer. Works well and although it is large, the size means no chopping is needed!

Nar2 - 07/02/08 Welcome to Dooyoo. A good first review here, as commented previously. Adding more info about the noise, weight of the machine, and general quality of the juice it produces will benefit future consumers.
