My shiny new juicer!
Member Name: carriannelouise
Advantages: Sleek looking, very fast, smooth juice, dry pulp
Disadvantages: Some fruit doesn't fit down the tube
I bought this juicer just 4 weeks ago and since then have used it about twice a day so i will give my opinion on it.
What do i get in the box?
Well mine came with a jug, the juicer, a cleaning brush, an instruction manual and a big book of juice making RRP12.99.
What will it juice?
Well more or less everything! i am yet to come across a fruit or vegetable that could beat it!
OK its basically a large brushed steel finished mesh filter juicer, with an extra large feeding tube packing a whopping 700w of power! The feeding tube is big enough to shove whole fruit down, just throw it in, plunger down and juice pours out into the provided jug. One thing i have found is that some apples and oranges can be too big to throw down whole so i just cut it in half. I can juice myself a glass of the freshest tastiest juice in less than a minute, it is so fast, and there's no horrible forcing down on the plunger just pop your hand on and gently push. This is a juicer with a large pulp container, well i say large... it is huge, i have not managed to fill it yet. It comes apart easily and is extremely easy to clean, it even comes with it's own cleaning brush. It juices at two speeds, labeled as 1 and 2 on a dial on the front; 1 for soft things like citrus, pears etc. 2 for hard things like carrots (it will still blitz through everything on level 1 but 2 is there if you want it faster!)
Two things that amazed me about this juicer are the consistency of a) the juice and b) the pulp. Unlike juicers that i have used in the past the juice is perfectly smooth no bits at all. And as for the pulp compared to the juicer that i used last, It comes out like dust! it is very dry as opposed to a wet mess.
I personally can't find a negative other than the fact that some fruit doesn't fit down the feeding tube, but i understand that it is so no one puts their hand down there. I bought mine from Argos for just £69 at the time i said if it is rubbish i'll take it back. I have never even thought about it, it is brilliant and i love it.
When i juice my favorite is the Watermelon cooler:
2 oranges peeled
1 lime (do not peel)
1 quarter of a water melon (remove the rind ignore the seeds)
Ice (crushed or whole, i prefer it whole as it doesn't melt as fast)
Agave syrup 1 or 2 tsp to taste
And my little princes's favorite is the pink champagne:
1 apple ( not granny smith)
2 purple or red plums (just remove the stone)
for young children add a little water to dilute the sugars.
I made both recipes, I hope you like them!
Summary: An excellent powerful juicer
