excellent juicer, perfect for anybody (Philips HR1865)

Advantages: makes tasty juices fast!

Disadvantages: difficult to clean

My mother bought this juicer for us as a house gift for christmas. We are all avid sports people and are constantly in and out of the house between tennis, yoga and baseball, so having healthy drinks at the ready is very important to us.

Not only does this juicer work well, but it works quickly. I suppose the biggest issue is having to clean it. We try to use as many of the fresh veg from our garden as possible which means we get great free nutrition! Gillian McKeith would be proud of us getting our five a day, and this is certainly a brilliant way to do that. It's much more interesting than munching on celery sticks and if you want a real boost in the morning I can't recommend it enough. It may take a while to get a few combinations that you really like, because carrot and milk doesn't really go as I discovered!

One that I would suggest is carrot and tomato juice. It sounds a bit like cold soup, but as a nice refreshing cold drink it can do just the job after a sport session or a just to quench your thirst after a hard day at work.
