tune57 Phillips HR1851 Juicer: ... purchased this Phillips HR1851 Juicer from John Lewis back in May 2007 for £24.95, thinking it would help me achieve my 5 a day intake of fruit and vegetables, although of course I am aware that no matter how many glasses of juice you drink in one day it still only counts as one of the recommended five a day portions. The Juicer came in a large cardboard box, well packed again inside with even more cardboard to...

twinmum2007 Philips HR1865
... bought the Philips juicer in a mad post-baby diet fad as an upgrade to our smoothie maker and just wish we had upgraded sooner. We found the juicer in our local Makro for £80 + VAT, which was a fabulous price. I believe they are now retailing at around £130. The juicer comes with a book by the Juice Master , Jason Vale. The book has some great recipes and some impressive juice solutions to all manner of body complaints. We followed his juice diet and lasted 2 days before we were tired of taking a horrific selection of vegetable based juices into work! I would recommend the juices book but the full juice detox diet is only for the brave and determined (I am neith...

... summer I thought I d give juicing a try. I chose this particular juicer because of the fact you can just put whole fruits in (rather than having to chop them up first) and because it seemed to come in fewer pieces than other machines around, which woudl hopefully mean cleaning and reassembly woudlnt be too much of a nightmare. It is really really good. It has two settings, one for soft frutis (e.g. strawberries) and one for hard fruits (apples, beetroot, carrot etc). Most apples and pears fit down the little chute without needed to be chopped, larger fruit/ veg like beetrootneed to be chopped, but only into half or quarters if they are massive specimens! As with (vi...

... is a wonderful Juicer, I bought mine on Amazon for £89.99 and it was delivered without too many issues. The box is fairly large and the machine comes with a book by the Juice Master which is fairly large and a great introduction to the world of Juicing. The machine itself looks fantastic, sleek and silver, its large and takes up a decent amount of space on the kitchen sideboard but it is well worth it. There are a number of items in the juicer which need to be cleaned before use, including blades and choppers, there is a jug that also comes with the machine that you use for the juice to fall into, it includes a small divider which ensures no lumps go through it....
