Philips HR1861: ... have been juicing for 5 years now and found that the Philips Juicer Hr1861 is really one of the best pieces of juicing equipment that i have ever used. It contains two speed settings that juice hard or soft fruits and vegetables with ease. I m so pleased that i no longer have to cut up my fruits first before putting them in the juicer. I can get more out of this machine because it has a larger capacity, and can...

... about using a juicer. I ve never actually owned one before. The two most important tips I think are firstly don t put it in a cupboard. If you do it ll be like the candy floss maker, you ll forget about it and never use it. So mine lives on the work top next to the Kenwood Chef mixer. Secondly and most importantly always clean it as soon as you ve used it. It is actually really easy to clean the Juicer, you dismantle it rinse some of the bits under hot water, the filter takes a bit of scrubbing with a plastic brush. Wipe the machine down job done in about 4 minutes. The instruction book gives a detailed breakdown of how to clean it. If, however, you don t do immediately ...

... this juicer from John Lewis for £99.99 and have been very satisfied with it. I orignally purchased the attachment for my Magimix food processor - don t bother. The two power settings are ample for any fruit or veg I have tried so far (dont often need the 2nd one). The neck is a reasonable size so not much chopping is needed, dont be fooled if you have medium sized apples or grapefruits you will have to cut them in half. One thing I didn t realise (dumbo) is you will have to peel oranges and the like. The juicer will take them unpeeled but the result tastes horrible ! You will find this machine easy to use, easy to clean and the pulp, although still damp at t...

... I d made up my mind I wanted a juicer I couldn t wait to get one. I d done a bit of research on the internet, but to be honest it left me pretty clueless. There were so many to choose from. All I knew is it had to be dishwasher safe - I hate washing up!! I came across the Phillips Juicer (HR1861) in the Argos book. I had it in my mind with juicers, as with many appliances, that you get what you pay for. This juicer was priced at £99.99 on the Argos website, but it was shown as having £25.00 off, making it £74.99 (this price is still correct at the time of writing this 08/12/05). "Bargain" I thought. Not long later, I d been to my local Argos and bou...
