After thoroughly researching different types of juicers, this is the best one I could find for an affordable price. You can get them for about £160 but I got mine slightly cheaper because it was a model that had been used at demonstrations (though it still looked absolutely new). It comes with a 10 year warranty, but I don't think It'll be needing new parts any time soon as it's very durable.
I think it's well worth going for a masticating juicer over a centrifugal one, as the quality of the juice is better, and less frothy. The pulp (waste) that comes out of this one is very dry which means it's getting as much juice out as possible.
It's really easy to clean, especially if you do it straight away, which means I'm much more likely to use it than a juicer with harder to clean parts. I wash everything by hand but it's dishwasher safe.
It's more noisy than some juicers I've used, but not noisier than a blender. I haven't had a problem with the noise level.
This juicer is heavy. Probably not heavier than other masticating juicers, but heavier than centrifugal ones. However, as you don't need to clean any of the big bulky part at all, you just take all the bits off it (which are really light and easy to remove) and leave the bulk of the machine on your worktop. If you want to keep it in your cupboard, it might be a bit of an effort to get it out, so I recommend keeping it out all the time, though it does take up quite a bit of room.
The cord on the juicer is a good length - about a meter - long enough to stretch to a far away plug but not too long to get in the way. I just stick the extra cord underneath the machine, which has a bit of space. The bottom is made of material that grips to your worktop.
This juicer actually has a lot of other functions, like grinding nuts (which you can use for making nut butters) and making noodles, sauces, baby food. It also minces. There are various attachments for these purposes. I haven't actually used any of these extra functions though, as I only really wanted a juicer, but it's nice to know that they're there if I ever want to use them.
You can juice all sorts of things, and it's good for juicing greens and wheatgrass (which you can't juice with a centrifugal juicer). It comes with a little recipe book and makes really delicious juices that have made me a lot healthier!
