Advantages: Enjoyable read, good author

Disadvantages: Not the best book ever

Airhead is a fairly recent Meg Cabot book compared to the likes of The Princess Diaries and others. It follows most of the things you would expect from a Meg Cabot book, mainly that the protagonist narrates the book, and you get a lot of their thoughts and feelings first hand. However it does seem a bit different to the normal Meg Cabot book, I preferred it.

The story is about a braniac called Em. She is best friends with a boy called Christopher, and secretly in love with him. Their lives are changed forever when they go to the opening of the new branch of Stark Megastores. Everyone believes that Em is dead, but in fact she has woken up in the body of supermodel Nikki. Everything has changed, and she can't let anyone know what has happened or face horrible consequences so now must be a part of everything that she previously hated... who knew being a model would be this hard?

This is an enjoyable book, but nothing that will particularly blow your mind - its pretty simple and easy enough to understand. The characters are all really relatable and are not one dimensional which is always a good thing, but they could maybe get annoying if you're reading and are a bit older. I just picked it up for a quick read but I'm at the end of the target audience really, its suitable for about 10-16, and there's no particularly rude bits in that makes it inappropriate.

Summary: Good bit of teen reading
