When I finish reading a good book, I always want to know what happened next. That's why when I finished reading 'Anne of Green Gables', I started looking for more and I came across 'Anne of Avonlea'. Ok, I know it’s a kid’s book, but I think ‘Anne of Green Gables’ by L.M Montgomery is one of the best classics there are, and it certainly deserves a place on everyone’s bookshelf. The book’s heroine, Anne, is a spirited orphan with bright red hair and a hot temper to match. When she is eleven years old, Anne’s dream comes true and she leaves her orphanage and is sent to Green Gables, home to the elderly Marilla Cuthbert and her brother Matthew. However, Anne’s dreams are shattered when she then learns that a terrible mistake has been made – the Cuthberts had applied for a boy to help them on their farm, not a girl, and she is ...
