Ages 5-8 This book has a suggested age range of 4-8, but I would say 5-8 would be more appropriate. It is written and illustrated by award winning author/ illustrator, Tomie De Paola. I do think he has a unique style to his illustrations. He has the main characters and the backgground is often mainly one colour; pinks, purples, yellows and oranges.
