      overall a funy story

      Background to story

Dark Water is book 5 in a series of ten from author D J Machale. It follows a teenage boy but the name of Bobby Pendragon and his friends Mark Diamond and Courtney Chetwyde. Bobby Pendragon is Known as a Traveler (a person able to travel to different worlds or as the author calls them Territories. The bad guy in the series is a demon by the name of Saint Dane. It his goal to push every Territory toward total chaos by finding the turning point in each territory a change it so it destroys the territory. If Saint Dane wins in every territory he will control all of Halla(everything and anything). Bobby is not alone in his fight and each territory has its own traveler. There are ten territories in all I have not read all ten books so here are some of them Clorral,First Earth,Second earth,Third earth,Eelong,Veelox. Here are some of the travelers we have learned of so far Gunny,Aja Killion,Loor, Vo Spader,Seegan and Kasha.

      Beginning of story

In the last book when Bobby had gone to the territory of Veelox with Gunny(another Traveler) just as they got there they heard Saint Dane had gone fro Veelox to Eelong.Bobby had decided to stay in Veelox while sending Gunny to the territory ahead so he could try and slow down whatever evil plans Saint Dane had for Eelong. Now that Saint Dane has won his first territory that is Veelox Bobby has decided to go back to Eelong to help Gunny fight Saint Dane. In the Last book Mark and Courtney had just become Acolytes(people who help out travelers by providing clothes or weapons of a territory as they are not aloud to move things from one territory to another). There role has just changed and they are now aloud to travel to the different territories and they going need to be able to Travel to if they are gonna help prevent Saint Dane win his second territory. Eelong is a strange territory because cats rule all over the territory and they use humans as pets or as they call them gars. Just as they enter a city Bobby has to put on a leash which he originally thinks is for Traveler for Eelong but is horrified when he discovers its for him. Food is running Out in the territory and soon the might have to change the rules a bit and to survive they might have to eat there pets.

      Conclusion

To be honest I have never laughed as hard as I have with book. Its funny to imagine a world full of talking and walking cats where humans are pets.I found this book to be thought provoking as well as to how we treat our animals as it goes into the idea of how would we like to be locked up in cages. That comment is not ment to offend anyone hey. I really recommend this book its full of humour and wild imagination.
