A story all about a busy little bear.......

Can You See A Little Bear is a wonderfully crafted bedtime story that parents and their children can have great delight reading together. Both beautifully illustrated and simple in its conception, the book consists of a series of rhymes that each illustrate what Little Bear is doing on a paticular page, ending with him cuddling up to Mummy Bear and falling fast asleep.

This is one of the nicest little tales that I have yet had the pleasure of reading with my little girl. It is good because it incorporates lots of different animals into the story and uses them as part of the rhymes that tell us what Little Bear is doing on each new page. For example, one such page reads "Crocodiles cry and Kookaburra laugh.....now it's time for Little Bear to have a little bath."

After only a few reads, I found it relatively easy to encourage my now four year old daughter to join in with our reading. She now loves telling me what is happening next on each new page and even puts her hand over my mouth to stop ME from joining in because she wants to read it herself! The illustrations are just simply beautiful and timeless and only add to the whole charm and beauty of the story. A pair of mice, who are recurring characters and whom appear hidden somewhere in each and every picture, have their own little roles to play and are just one of several extra little things that you can look out for as you follow the story. This is quite simply one of those books that I just love reading over and over again and something that both me and my daughter can share together when bedtime comes around.

If you haven't come across this before, I cannot reccommend it enough! It is a wonderful childrens tale that quite rightly deserves to be a classic and among one of the best childrens books of all time! It is readily available in all branches of Waterstones but can also be picked up cheaper online!
