This is a nice little board book for babies and children up to about the age of three. It uses artwork from the original Charlie and Lola books. That makes it sound like it isn't an 'official' Charlie and Lola book - it is, they've just re-used the pictures. It doesn't have a story as such - just different shapes on each page. Although they aren't the usual set of shapes - for example there is a page for crescents (the moon, and bananas) and a page for ovals (daisy petals). Its a bright, interesting book, and sturdy enough for babies to play with (and eat!). The whole "Charlie and Lola" thing is probably a bit lost on your average one-year-old, but it is quite nice to have a book about shapes that has more than triangles and squares. Also older siblings like to "read" it to the baby, which is useful. It has 14 pages and costs around £4.
