If you have never read one of Louise Rennisons books on Georgia Nicholson I reccomend you go out and put that right!
I am 22 and I love these books (no I'm not an immature 22 year old, I have a mortgage and a baby!). They are more adult humour and I doubt my 12 year old sister would find them funny.
I have read them since the beginning, and have lost count of how many times I have read the whole series.
Georgia is very funny and gives you flashbacks to your own school days, my friend even says that I could possibly be Georgia (she should know she was stuck with me at school for 5 years!) and I'm sure everyone can see some resembalance of her in themselves.
Dont read these books in public places, people will think you are mental. There have been many times I have read one on the bus and have ended up in tears from laughter. You may even find yourself talking like she does with words such as - Maturiosity, stupidosity, poo-osity and so on (just add osity onto the end of everything)
I recently watched the movie "angus, thongs and perfect snogging" based on these books and was very disapointed (as I usually am when I watch the film of a book I have already read) but thats another review
I myself, have read all the Georgia Nicolson books and have waited a long and painfull year since 'Luuurve is many trousered thing' for 'stop in the name of pants' to come out. I purchased this book about 4 days ago and have read it all already- just like evry other of these books, i could not put i down! I could seriously go on and on about them, Louise Renninson is certainly the queen of teen. My friends did mention tha the book has a naff ending, but i didn't think it was all that bad. It leaves it open at the end- leaving chance for anotehr book, which is good! There where many laugh out loud moments once again, and i actually did luagh out loud! he basic outline of the story is- Georgia has finally nabbed her Italian Luuuurve God. And he doesn't know about her secret fummble with Dave the laugh which took place at the end of the previous book. And Dave keeps popping up quite often really- aswell as her ex-boyfriend Robbie. Her arch enemy- Wet lindsay is always there to try and ruin things for her, too. Evenhough Georgia is growing up, she is still a bundle of laughs, as demonstrated by the title, 'Stop in the name of pants'. To some up this book here are some words, 'Tradgic', 'hilarious', 'romantic'. And by telling you what i mean by 'tradgic' would ruin the story.
