I recently got this book about Maisy as a present from a friend. As I didn't really know what Maisy was about, I liked it very much. I hope you like my review, enjoy reading!
===About the author===
Maisy is a well known childrens character in the UK. The books around this cute little mouse are written and illustrated by Lucy Cousins. She never does interviews and hates it to do anything that has to do with promoting her book. She likes to focus on her books and nothing more. Cousins first book (not about Maisy) was published in 1988. During the ninety's she started with maisy books. The Maisy books are now sold in 16 different countries.

In this Maisy book, the little mouse is waking up early in the morning and climbs on the tractor to drive around the farm and feed all the animals that live there. Maisy starts feeding corn to the chicken, then wants to feed the sheep but they already have green grass as a meal. After that Maisy thinks of the pigs and goed to the pig shed to feed the pigs their morning meal. Then, Maisy walks to the cown and milks the cow so there is milk for Maisy's own breakfast. At the end of the book, she goes home again, making herself a nice breakfast and also giving the black cat some fresh milk.
What I like about this book are the colours used by the author. I love the bright and cheery style the book is drawn in, lots of yellow, red, orange and green is used. The illustrations are lovely and next to each illustrated page a part of the story is printed in big, black letters (easy to read). The story itself is mainly about feeding animals, and not really about the "morning"in general. But that's okay, my girl likes to see pictures of animals so the book works fine for her.
