The story is being told by a child. The child is the eldest of three in the family and they seem to lead quite a frantic life. I bought "Grizzly Dad" for my daughter as a special book to share with her Dad. The description on the back of the book sold it to me. . . . ."Dads can sometimes be grumpy and grouchy and grizzly... But sometimes, that can be great fun! A wonderfully warm story all about dads (especially the grizzly ones!). I must point out now that I do not have a miserable husband but he does do shift work and can get "grizzly" at times. However, he is also a fantastic dad to a daughter that can wrap him around her little finger so I thought this book looked fun.
