As any regular readers of my reviews will know I am currently reviewing the series of Happy Families children s books, created by Allan Ahlberg. Master Salt the Sailor s Son is a well known book in this series and was written by Allan Ahlberg and illustrated by Andre Amstutz. The cover of the book is quite light and jolly, it shows Master Salt looking through a telescope, he looks happy and the sky is blue. This gives the impression that the book is likely to be a happy one.
