a decent story, despite being nothing special. I m unsure why, but I finished this short story feeling rather nonplussed. It flowed quite nicely, and was well written by Durant, but it really was nothing special. There was no excitement, change of pace or extremes of any sort. It merely told the tale of one twin who fills in for the other in an important football match. When Dale messes around a couple of evenings before the important match and winds up with a swollen ankle, twin Joe steps in and takes his place on the pitch. The deceit is dealt with by Durant later on in the book, and is done so quite cleverly, showing the values of honesty and the perils of ...

interesting to him, rather than being the only book left on the trolley! The book I will now review is - "If you go walking in tiger wood by Alan Durant". The book is unusual in the respect when you look at the front cover, there is no visible title page, with the author and the book title being hidden a couple of pages within. The only thing that is apparent is that there is a tiger hiding behind the front cover, this is of course the theme of the book, and there are numerous "peep hole" features throughout, giving the chid a slightly more interactive feel to the proceedings, this accompanies the story.
