Advantages: Beautifully drawn as always if a little simplistic

Disadvantages: Nothing really happens....

Mr.Good is another in the original Roger Hargreaves series originally designed for his own son which, over time, have become family childhood favourites. Mr.Good is something like number forty in the series that features a whole host of different characters all with their own unique characteristics and personality.

Mr.Good lives in a land where everyone is rude. When he tries to help someone recover their hat which has blown off, he is accused of trying to steal it and all his good intentions are simply taken entirely the wrong way. Mr.Good despairs and one day sets out for a walk. And it is only when he has walked for far enough that he finally finds somewhere where he can feel welcome.

Like Mr.Skinny, this is another of the adventures in which very little actually happens and is, in fact, one of the weaker Mr.Men tales. The character of Mr.Good is simply drawn, entirely in white and looking very much like a talking tic tac, and you get the impression that by now, Roger Hargreaves was starting to lose inspiration and failing to come up with any better ideas. It is worth picking up simply for nostalgia and for completing your collection but this is perhaps my least favourite of the books!

Summary: Not Roger Hargreaves best!
