am pleased to report that mummies choice of bedtime reads seem to have gone down quite well! The book I will now review is - "Manky monkey by Jeanne Willis". The book starts with one particularly mankey looking monkey, who is sat on his own and is looking really glum. He has a problem, with that being that he feels different from the rest of his fellow monkeys. He felt he was different in everyway, from the way he acted, the food he liked to eat even down to the thoughts he had. continue to frequent my local charity shops and pick up a few bargain books along the way. One of the finds for my reading club was this story by Jeanne Willis and illustrated by Korky Paul. I picked up this book for 25p in the charity shop but can expect to pay £3.99 on amazon for it. This story is one of a collection of stories about crazy jobs . Other books in the series include Jeff The Witch s Chef . and Vanessa the Werewolf Hairdresser , and these have all been published as part of the Orchard Super Crunchies series of books. This book is really aimed at the growing reader, since it is told as a rhyme with black and white illustrations throughout the ...

The Secret Fairy talent Show is a beautiful but also very funny book written by Jeanne Willis and illustrated by Penny Dann. My daughter and I first came across the Secret Fairies when we bought The Secret Fairy Letters (see separate review) and so we were very pleased when we found another book featuring the same characters. In The Secret Fairy Talent Show all the fairies in Fairyland are very excited because they are putting on a talent show for the queen. All are working on their own special talents which include singing, dancing, juggling and magic tricks. The fairies are all very supportive of each other while they are practising. In this book though we meet a ...
