I bought this book for my granddaughter. She adores Peppa Pig and is slowly gathering more and more Peppa Pig items! When we were in Tesco we saw this on the shelf for £3 and I couldn't resist getting it for her.
It is a board book so it is very good for young children. We have got another Peppa Pig book which isn't board and although she is 3 she is still heavy handed and has managed to rip pages when she turns them. With a board book we don't have any danger of her doing that so it is much more robust and better for my younger grandchildren too.
The book tells all about Peppa's daddy, how he goes on his computer, makes dinner and other things that he does. What we have noticed is that we can remember Peppa Pig episodes where each of the activities have been shown and it's nice to talk about them and what happened. We also talk about how her own daddy does some of the things too and don't daddy's do a lot?
The pictures are all bright and colourful and really cheerful. I'm not surprised that this little Pig appeals to children as she's very fun and there is lots to talk about. On each page is just a little sentence of writing and it's not really a story as such just statements about what Peppa's daddy likes to do. This is fine as I say we use it more as a way to talk about things rather than to listen to a story and get lost in fantasy.
I highly recommend this book. There is also another one which is about Peppa's Mummy too. It's very good quality and nice bright pictures for children to look at.
