      Great buy

My Grandma bought my eldest daughter 3 annuals for 2012 as my youngest daughter was too young to appreciate them and they were on offer at 3 for £10 in Asda and she never misses out on an offer. At the time Peppa Pig was one of my daughters favourite characters so I picked this one for her as my Grandma wouldn't have a clue about popular kids characters but at 81 I think we can let her off with that!

The book is A4 in size and is a hard backed book, it has a picture of Peppa Pig in an outdoor outfit pictured on the front of it and states that it has stories, games and over 50 stickers inside. On the back of the book there is a picture of George Pig also in his outdoor outfit and there is a price on it which states the RRP is £7.99 which I think is a bit steep considering what prices you can pick activity books up at.

The book has a contents page inside so once your child knows what stories they like it's easy to find them, there are also 5 little yellow ducks hidden somewhere in the book so there is the extra task for your child to find them. Inside the book you have games such as matching sounds to characters, matching names to characters, tracing words, colouring in, answering little questions and finding parts of picture to name a few.

There is a set of stickers in the book, on one side there are stickers of all the characters from within the series and then on the other page there are 24 little squares each picturing a scene from one of the Peppa Pig episodes. The stickers are great as they have well cut edges so they are easy to remove and they sticker really well and the edges don't roll like we have had with other stickers in the past.

There are 4 stories in the book each one of them covers 4 sides of A4 so are not too long and they are all stories of episodes we have watched so the girls are already aware of them. The pictures in the stories and throughout the book are really colourful and picture the characters perfectly.

This annual is brilliant and since buying this and the other 2 and being very impressed I will be buying both my girls a character annual every year. This annual has had most of the puzzles completed in it but the girls still like the stories. The puzzles and games are great as they encourage counting, number recognition, letter formation and logical skills. This gets 5 stars from our house very good quality and plenty to so in it.

A great annual for youngsters though RRP is a little high

        Peppa Pig Annual 2012

My little one loves reading, colouring and Peppa Pig, and so for Christmas, Santa combined the three and brought her the 2012 annual from Peppa Pig. She did not have the 2011 annual, though did have the one the year before and loved it. She has a wide variety of different annuals from various years and loves keeping them for the stories even after she has coloured the pictures and made any craft within them, they still last for years after with the stories.

The annual, like all others, is hard backed in a size close to A4 with an inviting front. The RRP is quite expensive at £7.99, though we have always managed to get the annuals for our little one at cut down prices. Santa got this one for £2.99 which is a bargain.

There are over 20 pages in this annual and host a whole range of different things. To give you an idea of what this annual is all about, let me walk you briefly through it.

The first four pages are activity pages which help children with reading, noises and writing as well as spaces to draw specific pictures.

Next you have a four page story which I have seen on the television about Granny Pigs chickens. After this you get a two page activity about this story.

After this there is a further eight pages of activity which cover aspects such as counting, picture stories, puzzles, drawing and finding items in a big picture.

The next six pages focus on numbers and counting with a four page story first followed by two activities. You then get a further three activities including puzzles and drawing.

In the centre of the annual you get two full pages of stickers which my little one loves!

Three pages of activities follow with another four page story, again one seen on the television, and another two pages of activities to help children learn to write.

Next is a story activity which is a small two page story which encourages children to dress up and pretend as they read the story.

To finish off the annual you have a further 12 pages of fun activities with a final four page story and a lovely colouring page.

My daughter loves this annual and has completed a lot of the activities already. I would say that the age range for this annual is perhaps three years plus with some help needed for some activities.

        Well recommended!
