Advantages: brilliant read
Perfect is the third book in the Pretty Little Liars series by Sara Shepard.
With the four friends, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer, still getting texts from the mysterious 'A' they are determined to discover the identity. As A still knows all there secrets they know it must be someone close to them but finding out who is proving to be a challenge. I have really liked reading the messages from A as it gives the story a mystery to try and crack. This makes the book interesting and kept me reading with intrigue right to the end.
After Arias fathers affair in the previous book, all the secrets are out and it has impacted their whole family. Aria ends up moving out to her boyfriends but as more secrets are uncovered she makes her life more difficult. I liked how Arias storyline includes the parents as most teenage books don't mention parents or grown ups.
Spencer goes to see a psychologist to try and remember the night of her friend, Alisons, disappearance but what she discovers puts concerning thoughts into her mind. A psychologist is another thing that I have never read much about in books. I like how it was written and think that Sara Shepard has done a good job at writing about topics which are not always common.
Another one of which is bulimia in Hannas storyline which has effected her place on the social ladder. I think this has a big effect on her and shows that she can be insecure at times. Maybe because of her so called best friend, Alison. I like Hanna as a character best as I found her part of the story was interesting to read.
Emily and Mayas secret is made public by A and her mother finds it hard to accept. This leads her to finding a "cure" for Emily to make her "Normal". I think it's sad that her mother couldn't accept her for who she is but maybe she will get used to the idea, I suppose it would be a shock to find that out.
When approaching the end of the book I couldn't stop reading. As more and more secrets come out the identity of A could be revealed. All because of one little mistake. If you liked the first two books you won't want to miss this one. Personally I think it is the best in the series so far.
Summary: who is A?
