We love Pingu and we love Christmas, so this book was sure to be a hit in our house. I think this is a really lovely Christmas story just because it is so simple. Pingu and his family get ready for Christmas. Mom bakes cookies ( and won't let anyone eat them before Christmas), Dad takes the children to choose a tree, the children wrap gifts and the parents decorate the tree. There are minor mix ups along the way, and Mom Dad get into an argument, but soon all is set right and everyone has a lovely, if very simple by our standards, holiday.
