A must-read for children who are animal lovers

Being an animal lover and a massive reader (still am), as a child I particularly loved reading children's animal books. My favourite series' were 'Puppy Patrol' by Jenny Dale and 'Home Farm Twins' which was also a television series. Today, I will be reviewing one of the books from the Puppy Patrol series.
Best Of Friends was released in the United Kingdom in 1998. You can buy a copy of this book from Amazon for as little as 1p which I think is excellent value for money.

The plot : Children, Neil and Emily live at the boarding kennels which their parents run. As well as their parents, the children themselves are also big dog lovers. So when Mrs Fleming is ill, Neil and Emily end up looking after her three troublesome dogs. But what will happen when their neighbours want to split the three dogs up.
Don't you just love animal stories? I love them. This book is so sweet, especially as it is about three dogs who are best friends and share a special bond. I was really hoping that the dogs would not get split up, as that would be so sad.

Animal lovers will love these books, especially little girls. I also think that this book would be great for children who like animals but do not like reading, as due to the fact that the book has 'animals' in it, should encourage them to read.
The main characters in the book are the children Neil and Emily. I think that children will like these characters as they are very likeable.

The book is one hundred and twenty eight pages long, which sounds quite a lot for a child's book, although I can assure you that the writing is very simple and easy to understand. There are no complicated words. The book is aimed at children between the ages of nine and twelve, although I remember reading these when I was seven and eight and having no problems.
I would recommend this book to all animal lovers! There are also many other books in this series, all from around 1p on Amazon which I think is excellent value for money, as it means that you could buy the whole series for just a couple of pounds.

      Thanks for reading!
