This is a lovely, rhyming little story involving all the animals associated with a farm yard and the noises each one makes.

It is cleverly written by Ian Smith and Sean Julian and is illustrated by Ian Smith and is based around waking up in the farm yard.

I think it is an ideal book for very young children to have, if they are learning the sounds associated with each animal, as in this book, the animals get very confused and make different sounds to the ones they normally make.

This makes the story very appealing and amusing. My grandchildren enjoy reading this story as they correct the sounds made by the different animals. Although they do get carried away at times with making all the animal noises. They pick out the different animals in the drawings and talk about the characteristics.

Everyone knows that the rooster wakes everyone up - but what has happened to him?

Summary: A lovely story involving a variety of animals.
