I finally bought this book after my daughter had got it out of the library 5 times over a 3 month period. Rosie is 4 years old and the book takes the form of dialogue between Rosie and her mum as mum puts the baby to bed. They talk about babies and how to love them. Rosie says what she would do with her babies (all outrageous things like going to the park at night and driving cars). The book has some marvellous illustrations (by Penny Dale)and although my daughter loves the book and thinks Rosie is funny it is basically trying to teach us about sibling rivalry (which is well complemented by the pictures when Rosie's mum is breastfeeding etc). I for one will be sad when my daughter outgrows this book as it is lovely to read as a bedtime story!
