children understand, the book that is the subject of this review being an absolute god send! The book I will now review is - "The magic of Christmas by Claire Freedman". I have to be honest when I initially brought this book it was because it was one of those textured books covered in glitter, again I am a bit of a magpie when it comes to shiny things! The story is centred around a small colony of mice, all preparing things ready for Christmas, when the smallest mouse pipes up "But what is the magic of Christmas?". The rest of the book revolves around the little mouse going from family member to the next trying to work out what the magic of ...

Dinosaurs Love Underpants by Claire Freeman as got to be one of the best childrens books for younger children out there. Illustrated by Ben Cort this large paperback book is very funny, with brightly coloured pictures it is very well written. Dinosaurs love underpants is the tale of how dinosaurs were wiped out due to there love of underpants. It tells the story of when cavemen invented underpants and dinosaurs loved them so much it caused a big dinosaur war that ended in the extinction of dinosaurs. It is a rhyming book that is very easy to read and the words flow nicely, and it is just the right length, my 2 year old sometimes gets bored of books before the end but ...

of the dinosaurs was their love of underpants. The humour of this book is bound to appeal to preschoolers and won t disappoint fans of the first book by Claire Freedman and Ben Court. The rhyming prose of the story ensures that it jogs along quite nicely, with lines like "It all began when cavemen, felt embarrassed in the nude, so someone dreamt up underpants, to stop them looking rude." The illustrations of pant obsessed dinosaurs (you really just have to go with this idea, honest), are colourful and beautifully drawn. I think we can excuse the book for the anachronism of dinosaurs stealing cavemen s pants, I am sure my five year old can learn later that ...
