While straightening my hair one morning I noticed that pieces of my hair were breaking off into my hands and that it felt dry and in generally bad condition. This was only a few weeks after I had been to the hairdressers - so either I have a hairdresser who managed to miss all these split ends when cuttting my hair or my hair was in such poor condition that the split and brittle ends on my hair were already reappearing. Either way I had a sudden nightmare of myself returning to the hairdressers and being told that to save my hair I would need to have a short-back-and-sides! I started trawling the internet for a miracle cure for my hair that would stop these ... Read the complete review

As someone who has their hair dyed red every two months and uses straighteners and curling tongs very often, it's no real surprise that my hair isn't (or wasn't - as you will soon find out!) in the best condition. Over processed and dry it would very rarely feel or look soft or silky and would regain split ends only a few weeks after it had been cut. I was used to using spray in heat protection products so when, in a routine trip to the salon my stylist applied a thick cream to my hair before blow drying, I was curious to know what it was and even more curious to know how much it cost! Well it was Kerastase "Resistance Ciment Thermique" and is ... Read the complete review

I have difficult to manage rebellious hair. I have to wash and dry it every morning to avoid frightening my children too much! In fact the other morning my 5-year-old son cuddled me and told me I looked just like a giant hairball! I think this was meant to be a compliment. Anyway you get the picture! I always use a hair dryer to dry my hair, pulling it into shape as I dry. My hair had become very dry and frizzy. About a year ago my hairdresser recommend I use Kerastase Resistance ciment thermique, a product that she said would work wonders! I had tried other Kerastase products in the past I was really impressed with them so agreed to give this a go. I was a bit shocked ... Read the complete review

Kerastase is possibly the most expensive hair stuff you can buy. Even the name sounds posh. I have tried several of their products, while alternating between high street brands. I still feel it is good to mix and match products and change what you use, so the hair does not build up a resistance to a particular shampoo or conditioner. This ciment, or cement as I prefer to call it, is designed to nourish hair from within, protecting it by sealing in nutrients and improving the density of the hair fibre with its high tech ingredients. It dispenses easily enough from the bottle, not as milky as it claims, it has a slightly thicker consistency then milk, which ... Read the complete review
