I bought the whole Oleo Relax range a few months ago after Xmas, which is the time of year when my naturally wavy hair always starts kicking off after several weeks of constant abuse - ie. heat straightening, smoky pubs and clubs and great traditional British rain.

Of all the three products - serum, shampoo and conditioner - the shampoo is the one you can probably do without if your hair is fairly thick and wavy, but not coarse.

The first few times you use it, especially if you've been suffering recent hair trauma, its really cool and you don't notice the fact that the roots are a bit greasy cos the rest of it is behaving. But as your hair gets back to normal it gets annoying, and as anyone who's been struggling to straighten curly hair should know by now - anything that simply weighs the curl down by being so heavy will last about half an hour - you're better off using products that don't overcondition your hair. I'd save it for those days when your hair is beyond rained on and resembles a brillo pad.

For frequent use, the conditioning mask is a much better bet, used with a shampoo that leaves your hair soft, but clean, like Aveda Purefume or Pantene Clarifying Shampoo. It's a lovely eggy yellow colour and leaves curly hair soft and relaxed.
