Advantages: Easy to use, nice scent, only a little needed, works really well
Disadvantages: None from me
If you have read any of my previous reviews then you will know that my hair causes me no end of stress! It is never straight or curly, just more of a mess! I have been growing it of late and been wearing it curly as it stops me having to use hair straighteners on it and then encourages the growth. One of the products that I have been using is the Kerastase Oleo Curl definition cream. There are only a certain number of hair products that seem to work for me but this is one of them and here are my thoughts on the product.
The Kerastase brand is one that I was introduced to a few years ago now. It is certainly not the cheapest of hair products but for me it is worth every penny as it actually works and is a firm favourite. The bottle that I have is the 150ml bottle and at full price it will cost you around the Ł16.00 mark which for a product I guess is a little expensive but for me as I mentioned it does work. I tend to buy my product from the HQ Hair website, it is reliable and the cheapest. High street stores don't stock the brand but many hairdressers or beauty salons will have it available, even Amazonsells it!
The bottle doesn't look particularly any different from others in shape or size. It is made from plastic and it is a vibrant orange colour. There is the Kerastase logo on the front followed by the name of the product. On the reverse of the bottle is all you need to know about using the product, a list of the ingredients that have been used as well as further information on the product itself as well as others in the range (Shampoos and conditioners etc.) we are told that this product will leave hair feeling soft and supple as well as looking shiny. Curls will be well defined and disciplined. It is worth noting that the product is also good for heat protection.
The cream comes out of the bottom of the bottle and it is quite thick in texture but smooth as well and so only a small amount is needed. The best way to put this into your damp hair I find is to tip your head upside down and work it through with your fingers, root to tip as directed. There is a lovely fresh fragrance to the product, slightly fruity but really clean and light and it will linger slightly in your hair which I find really appealing.
The cream is not that sticky which I also like and it doesn't leave your hair feeling greasy which is really important to me; I have tried so many others that have left my hair feeling really greasy on the root. The results of this product are amazing, a strong word I know but my curls are left frizz free as well as staying in place. It is not as if there is too much hold on them, it is just that they are really defined and look as if they are healthy and with good shine to them.
I have nothing but high praise for the product and I think even though there is a high price involved, it works and so I would be happy to pay it again. I have had this bottle for about 4 months and there is a little left in the bottom still so it will last as well.
5 out of 5 from me on this one
Thank you for reading
