Today it's cold again (typical Britian) so maybe I can avoid the oily roots this time! Oh and also there is another shampoo under the Kerastase specifique range called Bain Clarifant. It is in the same bottle, same colour etc as Bain Divalent but this one is specifically for oily roots only. I may try it next if my results don't improve....more

Express Review on Kérastase Specifique Bain Divalent Balancing Shampoo

This shampoo is fantastic! I have been looking for a high quality salon shampoo for years that is specifically for oily roots and dry ends. I am telling you THIS is the shampoo!!!!! I use it about 2-3x/week (usually on Mondays and Thursdays). I cleanse my hair with Pureology Nanoworks shampoo and conditioner on the other days. I always receive compliments on my hair (people tell me how wonderful it smells, how shiny it looks, and how healthy it looks). This shampoo is perfect to use after a work out at the gym or after a long mountain bike ride. It cleans your scalp very well, but does NOT strip your hair of moisture. Go out and buy some (I get mine on ebay for $60.00 (including shipping- the professional size).

This is a shampoo specifically for an oily scalp and dry ends. I've only just started using it along with a Kerastase strenthening conditioner (Ciment Anti U-sure, the light green one) which should really be used in conjuction with it's complementary shampoo (Bain De Force, also in the light green range) but because my hair gets greasy and needs a wash every other day, I've opted to mix it up a bit. I've only used the shampoo about 3 times since I've bought it, my regime is to: Apply to wet hair, massage with the flats of the hands. Rinse thoroughly. Blot-dry and repeat. I then roughly towel dry my hair and apply the conditioner to ...  Read the complete review

The Product Kérastase Specifique Bain Divalent costs around £10 - £14 for 250ml, depending on where you buy it from. It is available either from salons, or from online hair and beauty retailers, and I'm sure like most things it can be found on eBay at bargain prices. Why I Bought It As well as greasy skin, greasy hair runs in my family. For a good few years now my hair's been so bad that if I wash it when I get up on a morning, the roots will often be starting to look greasy again by the time I go to bed, and by the next morning it looks like it hasn't been washed in days. So, after having used a few other products which claimed to ...  Read the complete review
