... bought one of these about a year ago and have been really pleased with it. Virtually instant hot water and as it only heats what you need it saves electricity too. The water is not boiling so it may not be ideal for a tea purist but we have found it does the job just fine. My father who likes a lot of milk in his tea though does find it is not warm enough and likes to swill the cup out with hot water first. It comes with a water filter which we changed regularly to start with but hardly ever bother now. You do not need to have one in and we just found it made it expensive to run for little gain.
