My only premise was that it looked fairly sleek and didn t cost the earth; after all the last one had been pretty expensive by kettle standards and had lasted only about three years. Not knowing much about kettles, a trip to my local supermarket found me leaving the store with this one. FEATURES... Morphy Richards Filtermaster III 43163 ... have just been to make myself a cup of tea and whilst the kettle was boiling I realised that I hadn t done a review about it! I do find myself looking at things in terms of writing reviews these days - how sad is that? Anyway the kettle we currently have is a Morphy Richards Filtermaster in green to match the kitchen of course! As you can see from the picture at the top of the review it is also available in white. It is a jug kettle and currently costs £17.99 in Argos. The kettle has a clear, easy to read water gauge down each side and holds a maximum of one and a half litres of water but will boil with a minimum of half a litre so that you are able to boil the amount... Breville Spectra ... bought this kettle because we had some vouchers for Currys given to us for Christmas, and our old one expired on Boxing Day!. We bought this kettle and apart from the pretty lights, it is aweful. The lid pops open once the kettle has boiled, meaning that scalding hot steam can burn your hand if you are are not aware of what is about to happen. The keep-warm facility is pointless, as to make a decent brew you need boiling water, and frankly I m surprised that these days a manufacturer would deem it ecologically acceptable to provide this feature.
