thehonesttruth Tefal QuickCup: ... my mum replaced a kettle in perfect working order with a Tefal Quickcup, I ll admit I rolled my eyes, and muttered about gimmicks . My dad rolled his eyes, and muttered about the cost, which at the time the purchased it was around 60 quid. They ve now had this for around a year, and as a frequent visitor to my parents house, I ve used this many times . I ll admit I ve changed my mind an no longer view this ...

jillycat Russell Hobbs 14440
... husband purchased this kettle in January from Sainsbury s after our current one gave up the ghost. He selected this one at the time purely based on price as it was the usual post Christmas January money blues in our household and this cost about £15. Appearance of the kettle This is what I would term a basic kettle it is made from white and grey plastic so it isn t one of those appliances that adds beauty to your kitchen like a Dualit toaster say. It is a fairly sturdy kettle with the handle moulded into the body of the kettle. At the top of the handle is the lid release button. This once pressed does what it says on the tin and lifts the lid for you to put the wate...

mumto3 Cookworks Jug Kettle
... few months ago I decided to update my kettle as my old one was looking a little sorry for itself. I liked the look of the stainless steel ones that seemed to be everywhere and so decided I would have one of these if I could find it at the right price. I had £20 in Argos vouchers to spend so decided to start my search there. I found the Cookworks Stainless Steel Jug Kettle most appealing because it had the appearance I was looking for by at just over £11 pounds I liked the price too. From the picture in the catalogue the kettle looked like it was brushed stainless steel which was what I was looking for as I felt it would be easier to clean. When I got the kettle home...

... thing s first; I forgot to heed the advice given by other reviewers of this item; I didn t boil and dispose of a few cups of water before boiling some to drink. There will be a plastic taste if you make the same mistake I did!! I would disagree that the noise level is higher than that of an ordinary kettle. It sounds much the same as an ordinary kettle would when reaching boiling temperature, only this device reaches higher temperatures faster as it is heating a smaller volume of water. The water is hot enough to make your hot drink but I would hazard a guess at saying it isn t quite boiling. I also would agree that it suits only a mug rather than a cup, although ...
