I always buy Russel Hobbs kettles and they always seem to break. When will I learn? But I needed a kettle quickly and I didnt have time to shop around so I bought this cheap kettle for around £5 just intil I found a good bargain on a decent kettle.
When I opened the box the firsst thing I noticed about this kettle was that it wasnt as big as I thought it would be. But what can I expect for a fiver! When I first boiled it I straight away noticed how long it took to boil. I thought I cannot live with a kettle this slow! Its unbearable (extreme I know). Also I noticed it was quiet thought which I guess is good but this comes down to how slow it boils.
Overall I think this is good for a temporary kettle or maybe a kettle for work or something, but not at home where you have guests waiting for a nice cuppa tea. Also when I wake up the first thing I think of is a nice cup of tea and I cant bear waiting so long.
Also this kettle does not look nice in a kitchen. Its a strange shape and is mega ugly. Spend a little more and get a decent kettle!
