I bought this kettle after a disasterous experience in tesco's (we wont go there). I wanted a cheap kettle that actually worked and that had rapid boil as well and had a pointy spout so that you dont get any leaks everywhere. I bought this kettle for a cost of about £15.48 which i thought was a good price for a kettle. The thing i dont like about this is that it is plastic and i never think plastic is a very reliable source of material but anyways after getting the product home i was really impressed it takes about less that a minute to boil and is good ease of use. It also has a good spount so no leakages are possible. The great thing about this is that they delivered really fantastic customer service in the shop. The asda team gave me a one year guarentee slip regarding the product and were extremely helpful. I no its only a kettle but at this point in time very little but of money counts and if you no your not wasting money its definately a plus.
When it came to moving.... recently I had just a couple of problems. The first one was that my finances were getting eaten up all the time with unexpected things I needed and bills, secondly I needed everything cos I left home to start a fresh! Once I spotted my flat (my mate and I) who decided to do a share started to try make a home and we decided to go for economy products......providing they looked nice enough and didn't have cheap writing on them giving the game away that we were being cheapskates of course lol. This at £9.97 wasn't the cheapest Asda own branded kettle but in the economy section this looked great so I bought it! The Packaging: The kettle came in a box well packaged up with a plug already attached to the base of the kettle. On the box I was clearly told what it was etc. The Kettle: This is actually a really nice kettle to look at. White in colour and made of plastic, it's tall with a nice sturdy handle to it and it has a large water window to one side which tells (and shows me) where I fill with water to and the kettle allows 1L of water to be heated up at a time. The pouring spout is integrated and a round large hole which is of course situated to the top of if. It polishes off the kettle and in my opinion this doesn't look like a cheap kettle at all as the design isn't simply plain, cheap and cheerful. It has a simple on/off switch to the base of the kettle with lights up red when the kettle is on and it flips off when boiled. The kettle is easy to fill. It has a flip-top lid to the top of it which is simple to use and when in use it sits on it's matching white base with total ease. The lead/cord for the base is reasonably long too and once filled although this isn't a rapid boil kettle it only takes the sort of standard time to heat up and doesn't make a noise really at all. Verdict: This is an excellent kettle. I appreciate the design of this and the fact that it doesn't make kitchen look like I've decked it out with economy options. It's big enough (standard sized kettle) and doesn't let the world know it's Asda (it only has a label letting you know that on the base of the kettle). All in all this is recommended from me totally. Why pay more when you can get this for under £10.00?! It's absolutely brilliant and gets a huge thumbs up from me and my flatmate! Only available in Asda stores.
