Having gone through three or four kettles in almost as many years, I was really fed up with trawling through the shops for yet another replacement! I was introduced to Bodum kettles by an office I was temping at, they had a really aesthetic bright yellow, slightly see-through one which I was struck by, so as soon as my kettle gave up the ghost, I knew what I was going to replace it with! Bodum kettles are stylish and available in a snazzy range of slightly see-through colours , mine is a royal blue one, but you can get turquoise, yellow, orange, green, white and more, you are bound to find one to match your kitchen, it's almost guaranteed. This kettle is a handy, cordless one as I'm far too lazy to keep unplugging and plugging it in again! It has a side water indicator and a handy scale filter at the spout. All the features I expect in a kettle, but most importantly, since I bought it three years ago it's still going strong and looks as good as the day it was bought (apart from a bit of scale at the bottom!) This isn't a make that immediately springs to mind when thinking about kettles, and had I not seen one "in action" I wouldn't have gone out of my way to get it, but it has definitely out-performed other well-known brands that I have bought previously. I bought my Bodum kettle from John Lewis for £29.99 and I have also seen them in larger Woolworths and independent stores. This is definitely the best looking and most reliable kettle that I have ever had, it definitely gets my seal of approval.
