Advantages: Quick and Cheap as chips!

Disadvantages: Breville could have 'tidied' up the kettle somewhat

After my parents trusty 'older than me but heres your first moving in' kettle decided to develop a hole in it and leak everywhere (what kind of kettle gets a hole?!) I decided that i couldn't survive without a cup o' tea and headed onto Argos with my partner to get a new one (exciting hmm?) after browsing and being on a budget i thought i would buy the cheap own range, but my partner insisted I went onwards and upwards, so I looked at the branded ones.

Price wise, this little baby is really good, it has a concealed element and rapid boil, and when I say rapid boil...BOY i mean RAPID! its like speedy gonzales is plugged into my sockets. It has a swivel base, which many cheaper versions do not have and since moving onto a swivel base I have found it alot easier to just plonk it back on and let it do its thing.

My down points would be, the button looks a tad scary. Its huge enough and looks funky, but theres a certain 'looseness' to the button that kinda makes me think 'Hmm this could get a loose connection soon' also as we're getting more green with our energy usage, Breville could have really made the marking on the side alot more precise, therefore if I wanted to boil one cup I could, although having it for half a year, I seem to have got that perfected *wink!*

All in all based on how beautifully cheap it is for a good name I would really recommend this kettle for anyone who doesn't seem to have parents that will give you a kettle; Older than yourself; as a moving in present haha!
