Advantages: water filter, pretty colours!
Disadvantages: Expensive for a kettle
I dont actually own this kettle anymore as it was a joint gift with my ex partner and he got the kettle when we split!! However I still felt like writing a review because it was a fantastic kettle!
I wanted a kettle that had a water filter built in and this one takes Brita water filters or own make ones. I hate all the limescale you normally get at the bottom of kettles over the months so having a filter was great .The only slight downside to this was that it took ages for the water to filter into the kettle and you had to fill the kettle into the water filter part probably twice if you wanted the kettle completely full if you were making a lot of drinks.
The main reason i wanted this kettle however is simply because I thought the changing colours were pretty! It starts off blue and then goes different shades while it is boiling until it is red when it boils. When you leave the kettle on standby it flicks through all the colours slowly and I used to like it sitting in the corner when the kithen was dark giving off its coloured glow! Leaving it on standby of course wastes a little electricity but I don't think its that much and it did look nice!!
The kettle has a nice comfortable handle, boils very quickly and is ultimately easy to use and a great choice. When we were given it a year or so ago it cost about £50. I'm not sure if it has come down in price since then.
