Advantages: boils water keeps water ready to use

Disadvantages: boils dry, filter difficult to remove, reinstate and falls apart

I am fed up of my Kettle so thought I would share it with you my parents initally purchased the kettle for christmas 2007 and this is the third kettle that we have and since we had the first one the models have changeds slightly although they still haven't dealt with the real problems.

Firstly I will describe the plus points of the kettle to you it is fairly attractive although the lights do tend to draw the attention of youngsters to the kettle so not altogether a complete positive. The keepwarm system was a godsend when my daughter was a baby as it meant there was always hot water for the bottles although it was definately not designed with my husband in mind as he often left the keep warm button on and boiled the kettle dry which is fine because apparantly what will happen is the kettle will turn itself off and will only allow itself to be switched on again if water is put in well in reality it will turn itself off again at 1 am on a sunday morning and not work again until 7pm that evening grrrr! The second time it boiled dry it never worked again goodbye kettle one. In my opinion it is quite easy to pour the water out and forget to switch the keep warm system off.

Oh it seems I have come to the probles so I will continue the removable filter is easily removed to ensure that it is easy to clean. Well actually it isn't and just when you think you have put it in right it falls into the water more of a time wasting than time saving kettle at this point. Also I have replaced the filter in this kettle twice only had it 4 months at a cost of £3 little bit of an inconvenience too as I live five miles away from town. All in all I am not overly impressed but it does the job (When its working) At the end of the day for all its gadgetty bnits it boils water probably the same as a kettle that casts a third of the thirty pound price tag. Not impressed

Summary: Does the job but overpriced and unreliable.

Welcome to Dooyoo

A good start here although for buyers some more info could be better here such as:

Actual cost price
Total water capacity
Noise levels
Pouring /filling easy to do, even through the spout?
Power levels - if it is over 3KW then it is classed as a rapid boil and therefore should boil faster than standard cheaper kettles on the market.

Also other kettles on the market don't have a keep warm facility. Adding info isn't compulsory but it would boost your review here. If you update your review please message me.
