Advantages: Light weight, design, easy to use.
I bought this kettle a few months ago, as I spend a lot of time upstairs doing college work and watching TV I decided getting a small kettle upstairs would be a good idea. With it's 1 litre capacity this is only a small kettle so not suitable for families as from my experience the kettle will only hold about 2 mugs of water. However, this does make it perfect for a single person or couple and especially an older person as the smaller size means it's very light weight and easy to lift.
The design of this is quite modern, being brushed stainless steel although this allows it to fit into almost any kitchen, the small size also means it's suitable for any kitchen too, I imagine this would be good in a caravan. The base is a 360 degree base which means that the kettle can be place anyway round on the base, this is made from black plastic which contrasts with the brushed stainless steel and is very sturdy. The same black plastic is also used for the handle and the lid, the sturdy handle means it's very easy to lift, this is also helps by the light weight of the kettle. At the top of the handle is a button to pop up the lid, this is very handy as our kettle in the kitchen just has a small handle and it's very easy to burn yourself on the hot stainless steel.
Filling the kettle is very easy as the whole of the top of the kettle opens, this along with the size of the kettle means that it fills very quickly. The amount of water in the kettle is indicated by a gage just underneath the handle, however I have found that this is wearing off slightly but it's still easy to see about how much is in the kettle. Underneath this gage is a switch which you flick down to boil the kettle, it illuminates whilst on and automatically flicks back up when the kettle has boiled.
The kettle feature the rapid boil function, which means that, obviously, it does boil very quickly. However, it it's haste to boil quickly it does make a lot of noise, it's not terrible but it's definately loud. Pouring from the kettle is very easy, unlike some where the water spills everywhere. Underneath the pouring spout there's a limescale filter, however, limescale hasn't been a problem with this kettle.
The kettle is £24.99 which isn't too bad although it is only small, it's the same price on Amazon and at Argos.
Overall, this is a perfect little kettle as long as you aren't looking to boil too much water, it's light weight so perfect for anyone who usually has trouble lifting. It's small design also means it will fit into any kitchen, and it's rapid boil function means it's an all round good buy.
Summary: 5/5 A little noisy but perfect apart from that.
